Dr. Balog graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown , Pennsylvania and from Penn State University College of Medicine , Hershey, Pennsylvania. He served his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center . He has been practicing Orthopedic Surgery in this area since 1986.

He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons , the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society , the American Medical Association and the Dauphin County Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Medical Society and Phi Beta Kappa .

He resides in Hummelstown with his wife, Kim, and their two children Sarah and Alex.
