Steven M. DeLuca, D.O., M.S. |
He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and Master of Science (MS) degrees from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). While at PCOM, he was involved with skeletal muscle stem cell research which included multiple publications and presentations.
Dr. DeLuca is the recipient of the 2007 Bob Green, DO Memorial Award. This award is given annually to the DO orthopedic surgeon achieving the hightest combined score in the written and oral board certification examination.
Dr. DeLuca received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA where he was also an All American football player. He is a native of Doylestown, Bucks County, PA and currently resides in Elizabethtown with his wife Amy (a pediatrician for Pinnacle Health) and 3 children.
Dr. DeLuca practices general orthopedics with special interests in joint replacement, spine surgery, and sports medicine (he is the team physician for the Harrisburg High School Cougars). He is trained in many of the latest “state of the art” orthopedic technologies, including computer assisted total joint replacement and all-arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs. He does hip arthroscopy and hip resurfacing surgery and joint replacment surgery using implants compatible with patients that have metal allergies. His spine practice involves the treatment of neck and back problems including compression fractures of the spine which, in some patients, may be treated surgically with Kyphoplasty. Additionally, Dr. DeLuca treats fractures and general pediatric orthopedic problems, as well as hand and foot & ankle disorders.
Dr. DeLuca has privileges at Pinnacle Health System ( Harrisburg Hospital and Community General Hospital), Holy Spirit Hospital and Grand View Surgery Center. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics (AOAO), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA).
