A native of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Dr. Boal graduated from Grove City College and Temple Medical School. After completing his internship and residency at the Presbyterian Medical Center, Denver, Colorado and Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he entered the United States Air Force for a 2 year tour of duty.

Dr. Boal is Board Certified in orthopedics and began his orthopedic practice in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania in 1979. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Dr. Boal resides in Lemoyne with his wife, Danielle Boal, M.D. and their 3 sons.
