Dr. Fernandez received his undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed medical school at Penn State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He then completed his General Surgery internship and Orthopaedic Residency at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at Penn State. Dr. Fernandez then pursued specialized training in spine surgery at the University of Utah combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Spine Fellowship. While in Utah, Dr. Fernandez was also appointed as a staff spine surgeon at the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Fernandez is Board Certified in orthopedics.

Dr. Fernandez specializes in the treatment of all spine disorders including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar degenerative conditions, minimally invasive spine surgery, disc herniations, tumors, infections, trauma, fractures, nerve and spinal cord compression.

Dr. Fernandez resides in Harrisburg.
