Dr. Polacheck is a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. After attending Dartmouth College, he received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Polacheck completed an internship at Pennsylvania Hospital before returning to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital for an orthopedic residency.
He was certified by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and has maintained his certification through the voluntary re-certification examination program.
In his total joint practice, Dr. Polacheck has years of experience with the Zimmer Hi-Flex and Gender Specific implants, minimally invasive partial knee replacements, and bone conserving Zimmer M-L Taper hip implants.
Dr. Polacheck practiced orthopedic surgery in Central Pennsylvania for fifteen years before joining The Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania in January, 2001.
