A life long resident of Pennsylvania, Dr. Rubbo graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978. After attending Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, he completed a five year residency in orthopedics at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. His pediatric orthopedic training was completed at A.I. DuPont Institute in Wilmington, Delaware.
Dr. Rubbo practiced in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania before relocation to the Harrisburg area in 1991. He was a Sports Medicine Consultant for Shippensburg University Sports teams and annually volunteers as a team physician for the Big 33 Football Classic as well as Palmyra High School Varsity football games.
Along with general orthopedics, his interests lie within Sports Medicine and reconstructive Joint surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society and the Eastern Orthopedic Association.
Dr. Rubbo resides in Harrisburg with his wife and their four children. He likes to relax by playing golf and spending time with his family.
