Amy Miceli, DPM, FAPWCA is a Board Certified Podiatrist with experience treating a wide variety of foot and ankle disorders utilizing both non-surgical and surgical techniques.
A central Pennsylvania native, Dr. Miceli grew up in Lewisberry and dreamed of one day serving her community as a podiatrist. She earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from Lebanon Valley College in Annville, PA, and then went on to work as a Chemistry Lecturer at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) prior to receiving her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, OH. She has a special interest in wound care, limb salvage, and diabetic foot care.
After her schooling, Dr. Miceli completed a 3 year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR RRA) at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA, where she attended several surgical courses, including the American Academy of Foot and Ankle Osteosynthesis (AAFAO) Comprehensive Course, Baltimore Limb Deformity Course (BLDC), American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) Arthroscopy Course, and the ACFAS Complex Forefoot Surgery with Advanced Solutions Workshop. During her Residency Training she also completed a Podiatric and Orthopedics Rotation for 2 months at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO) in Baltimore, MD as well as the Bako Diagnostics’ 2 week Podiatric Dermatology Mini-Fellowship Program in Alpharetta, GA.
She was selected for the first and only known Podiatric Practice Management Fellowship at the New Jersey Podiatric Physicians & Surgeons Group of nearly 30 foot and ankle providers across 30 locations. While there, she diagnosed and treated podiatric clinic patients weekly and gained experience in practice management.
Dr. Miceli is Board Certified and subsequently a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM),formerly known as the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. In addition to earning a Physician Certification in Wound Care from the American Board of Wound Healing (ABWH), she holds a special distinction from the ABPM- the Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Amputation Prevention and Wound Care. She has co-authored research that has been presented at the 76th Annual ACFAS Scientific Conference and published in the Nov/Dec 2019 issue of The Journal of Foot & Ankle Surgery (JFAS).
She is a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association (FAPWCA), and a member of several organizations including the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association (PPMA), American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (ASPS).
