Dr. Rubbo has a special interest in sports medicine, trauma and adult joint reconstruction.
Dr. Rubbo graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh. After attending Temple University School of Medicine, he completed a five year residency in orthopedics at Geisinger Medical Center and pediatric orthopedic training at A.I. DuPont Institute. He practiced in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania before joining OIP in 2000.
Dr. Rubbo is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He is a member of the Dauphin County Medical Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, Pennsylvania Orthopedic Society, Eastern Orthopedic Association and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Rubbo serves as Assistant Clinical Professor at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Clinical Instructor at Pinnacle Health System, Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He volunteers annually as a team physician for the Big 33 Football Classic and the athletic teams for Central Dauphin School District. He was also a sports medicine consultant for Shippensburg University sports teams.
Dr. Rubbo resides in Harrisburg with his wife, Debbie, and their four children. He enjoys golf, spending time with his family and medical missions. He is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
