Dr. Angerett completed his specialty training in Hip and Knee Replacement surgery at The Baltimore Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction Fellowship.  This collaboration between LifeBridge Health & The University of Maryland offered the opportunity to learn complex hip revision and knee replacement techniques from some of the top surgeons in the country. 

Prior to fellowship, Dr. Angerett completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at UPMC Harrisburg where he was elected by his peers to serve as the Executive Chief Resident and lead numerous patient care quality improvement projects. He received the C. McCollister Evarts Resident Leadership Award and was inducted into the American Orthopaedic Association’s Emerging Leaders program.

Dr. Angerett completed his pre-medical coursework at the University of Pittsburgh & the University of Pennsylvania. While earning his Doctorate at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine he was inducted into the National Osteopathic Medicine Honors Society and was awarded the Pennsylvania Outstanding Osteopathic Medical Student Award.

He has numerous peer-reviewed research publications on a wide breadth of Orthopedic topics. His research on improving patient care has been awarded nationally at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, as well as the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. Locally, his research has been awarded the Outstanding Research Award on several occasions at the UPMC Central PA Annual Medical Education Day. Dr. Angerett serves as a reviewer for The Journal of Arthroplasty, the Premier Journal in joint replacement surgery, as well as The Journal of Knee Surgery. 

Dr. Angerett loves spending time with his wife and three children. He understands the value of spending quality time with the people you care about. Dr. Angerett strives to return his patients’ quality of life and independence primarily through non-operative measures but is also available to provide surgical intervention when other treatment options have failed.
